Bigfoot In The Trees
On Sunday December 5th of 2010 I interviewed Tami Mercer on the phone for 45 minutes from her residence in Kentucky, Tami at one time lived in Lawrenceburg Kentucky in Anderson County. In the interview I took details of three incidents in her life that had a long term impact on her and still does today. As of 2010 Tami still does not like to go to windows at night and she does not like to go outside at night in the dark alone or even with someone. As she told me and relived these events I could hear her fear and I could even tell she was shaking after all these years later..
With Bigfoot the main character in two of the events and what might have been a Bigfoot in the third story with her step grandfather involved.
In the late 1970;s Tami Mercer and several of her friends were playing outside at a trailer park on the east side of Lawrenceburg Kentucky. They were just messing around playing as kids play. Tami glanced over to the east in a large field and near the tree line she thought she saw a strange looking tree. It was cold and in the winter time.
Jokingly she said "that tree is coming for us" or something of that nature and they all laughed but as they looked something happened. The strange looking tree moved. It not only moved but it moved in their direction. This large hairy creature came across the field and at the children who started to panic and run.
This creature fits the description of the creature Bigfoot. One unusual aspect of this sighting was the color. Tami stated it was a gray color and noticeably gray. Tami stated that several times before on foggy morning she would see something walking in the same area where the creature walked out of the woods.
Tami ran inside and hid in her trailer as she was convinced whatever this thing was , it was coming for them.
This sighting was on U.S. 62 on the eastern side of Lawrenceburg Kentucky and occurred in the afternoon and the sighting occurred in late November or early December of the late 1970's. A more detailed description was not possible other than large and hairy and a grayish color with long hair.
Chased By Bigfoot
In the early 1980's, possible 82 or 83, Tami and a friend were out in the area of the Wildcat Road in Anderson County Kentucky. Young teen aged girls just wandering around and walking along on frozen creeks and talking and shooting a 22 caliber rifle they had with them. As they came up to an area where they had hillsides on both sides Tami and her friend started to cross a barbed wire fence and Tami went over the fence first and as she turned to help her friend she heard what she said was a "heavy" sound on the hillside. The hillside was typical of Kentucky hillsides with a mixture of Dirt and rock. As both girls looked up what their eyes saw froze them.
Tami said it was like she was trying to think what she was seeing but what she was seeing was not something that made sense to her brain. In her mind she was thinking is that a man or is that a bear but she knew it was neither. Standing on the side of the hill was a huge bi-pedal creature with long hair. According to Tami the reason they looked up to the area where the creature was standing was because it was doing something and making noise. She was not able to tell what it was doing but was certain it was involved in some kind of activity and when Tami said " Oh Sh**!, What is that? " the creature turned and looked at them. When it did the girls ran as fast as they could. The creature then pursued them. The girls could hear the creature coming through the woods behind them and Tami stated that somehow it was gaining on them and it must have been very fast as they were fast and running as hard as they could and how this huge creature could not only run this far but start to catch them, she just doesn't understand.
She could hear branches breaking and crunching sounds as it seemed to be gaining on two girls who were very fast runners. Tami said she never looked back she just ran as fast and hard as she could.
As the terrified girls ran they came out of the woods and into a clearing (open field) and when they did the creature stopped and did not pursue them any further.
Tami said the creature was dark in color and had long hair that was not matted but looked unusual. It was huge and bi-pedal. This sighting occurred in the winter and in the afternoon. Tami stated she thinks this event took place in 1982 or 83..
It seems that whatever the creature was doing occupied it to a level that someone shooting a gun or talking and laughing had no impact.
Strange Creature in the Night
In the mid 1980;s Tami was visiting with her step grandparents who lived near the Mercer and Anderson County Line. Things had had been happening at night that kept upsetting her grandfathers dogs. One night while she was visiting she heard something at the window and looked around and thought it was her grandfather outside messing around and trying to scare her.
She walked over to the window where she heard the noise and through the curtains back expecting to see her grandfather. But it was not her grandfather she saw. What she saw was a huge hairy creature looking in the window and it had no nose nor mouth. She panicked and ran.
From the information she later gathered her step Grandfather was outside and something happened to him that involved a light. When her Grandfather came back into the house he was mumbling and dazed.
He was not able to remember anything that happened outside and he also apparently had memory loss for that time period as this happened very near Christmas and he could never even remember Christmas of that year and time.
All she knows after that is when he grandfather went outside there was some kind of light and something happened to her grandfather and when he came back in he had no memory of what happened. Tami stated his entire life he never could remember what happened when he went outside but he knows something did happen..
Tami stated the creature looking in the window as huge and did look like the other two Sasquatch she had seen but this creatures hair was somehow different even though it was covered with hair. Tami also said the face had no hair nor did it have a nose for certain, and maybe no mouth but she could see the eyes clearly.
Tami often thinks about why she is someone who had these events on her life and she also told me that she thinks over and over what that creature was doing on that hillside and what would have happened if it had caught them. These events and sightings have caused a deep impact on her and causes her to reflect on these events often
All three of these events happened in the winter time in Ky..and Tami thinks they were between November and January.
More information is being gathered and further information will soon be posted..
Stay Tuned.

Anderson County Kentucky Bigfoot Reports
This is a collection of Bigfoot sighting and interaction reports I have gathered over the years and put together to show how active Anderson County has been over the years. The following reports have been gathered by Philip Spencer..
1: Man finds huge track and takes picture in 2007:
"For the sake of anonymity the farmer will be known as The X Farmer"
In 2007 on a farm on the Harry Wise Road in Anderson County Kentucky a man and his wife were sitting on the porch relaxing after a long day and discussing the day’s events. His wife decided towhead inside and go to bed. The X Farmer sat on the porch in his old
rocking chair and listened to the sounds of the night, crickets chirping, a bird making a sound every now and then, a dog barking in the distance, and even far away the sound of a lone car or truck was moving along a road somewhere.
As he sat he realized everything had become very quiet. Everything had not only become quiet but it had become a little too quiet. He eased up in his chair and listened intently
for any sounds that might tell him why everything else had gone silent.
As he sat he heard something move in a creek approximately 150 feet
from his porch.
He could hear large limbs being moved or stepped on. He could tell from the heavy sounds they made that something was stepping on them or moving them and letting them hit the ground. He then heard something that chilled him. He heard deep breathing, not really labored breathing, but deep breathing. This breathing sounded like it was coming from something very large. It did not sound like the breathing of a person or any animal he had ever heard in the outdoors. There was something very different about this sound. The X Farmer sat and listened as whatever this was made its way down the creek then moved out of hearing distance. He eased up from his chair and went inside and picked up a shotgun and walked back outside.
This was more a ceremonial move as he was sure whatever this was had moved on, but he stood on his porch in the dark and listened and watched for a while. He soon turned and went back inside and retired for the night.
The next morning as soon as the chores were done he went directly to the area of the creek where he had heard the sound the night before. It had rained slightly and the ground was wet
enough to capture a good track so he had high hopes that whatever had moved through the night before making those sounds had also left some tracks. He looked in the area of least resistance where he thought something might have moved through. It was in the third such section that he saw something on the ground, and realized he was looking at a huge footprint. He stopped and looked closely and became extremely excited. He turned and quickly went back to his house and picked up his phone and called me. When he told me what he had found I asked
him if he had marked the place where the tracks were. He replied no,he got so excited he forgot to mark the exact location but he said he felt sure he could find it. I told him to hang up the phone immediately, grab a camera and a measuring device and go straight to the spot and take pictures and measurements and if he had anything to make a cast of the
tracks to do so. He hung up and did as I had instructed him to do.
When he returned to the area he could not find the original track which he said was much more distinctive than the two he took pictures of. The track he photographed is of a right foot. The foot measures from tip of heel to tip of large toe approximately 20 inches. The pictures are
not the best for showing the track even though the ground was muddy; the ground was also covered with leaves and just did not take the imprint as well as we hoped it would. However, I had The X Farmer drawan outline of the foot as he saw it and superimpose his outline over the
actual photo of the foot. The large toe is a point of interest. From his outline he thinks the creature slipped and this is the toe imprint showing slippage and that explains the odd enormity of the big toe imprint.
In his outline he also drew inwards in the area of the arch. He said he thought the creature was leaning or doing something that made it rise off the arch and dig the big toe into the mud resulting in the extended looking big toe. As anyone can see this is an enormous track.
For the sake of clarity I outlined the footprint with a thick gray color to show the outline
of the foot better as The X Farmer drew very small red dots in his outline. The X Farmer was sent my outline and approved the overlay I had done.
2: 1970 Sighting by Philip Spencer
The part of the country where I lived was just beautiful, surrounded by rivers and streams and creeks, valleys and heavy woodlands, my friend and I loved the outdoors and all the animals one could encounter in this area, we would often go out late at night into the valleys and drive down the old roads and take a powerful spotlight and shine it back threw the valleys along the river bottoms and look at all the deer and other animals we could spot, and for all you hunters and anyone thinking we were spot lighting deer, we were not..
One night we were in a remote part of the county, driving along an two lane road near the town of Glenboro in rural Anderson County Kentucky, on the left of this road was a small river, actually shouldn’t have even been called a river, it was maybe 100 yards wide at its widest point and maybe 20 feet deep at its deepest point, yet it ran for almost 100 miles, and was just so beautiful and on the sides of the river were open flat bottoms, rich & lush , but many were not covered with trees or brush and this is where you could see large herds of deer at night.
We drove to a place on the road where the road went up and at this point one could shine the light down into a large open area where the river made a turn and headed west, this was an excellent place to see animals, I was holding the spotlight, I seem to remember it was 1 million candle power maybe less, I was the passenger with my friend driving, I was holding the light out the window and pointing it over the car top and shining it threw the valley as we drove slowly along.
We were looking at all the deer in the valley and then as I swept the light along we saw something odd, it was hard to tell exactly what it was at first, my friend stopped the car and I put the light on the area where we saw this large shape, it was then it turned and looked in our direction, we saw two huge eyes, they were about 4-6 feet above where any of the deer eyes were and they had this reddish orange glow to them.
We both looked at each other and my friend then pulled the car to an old gravel road and we turned around and pulled over at the same place we had been, now I was on the side where I could work the light better.
I swept through the valley looking for the dark shape, I finally saw it and it was moving, moving down the valley , as it moved and I held the light on it, it would turn its head and look back at us, we would see those large eyes as it did. It was very easy to tell this was a creature with two legs and it was walking (briskly) upright, the way it turned its head reminded one of a person doing the same as its upper body turned slightly with the head.
This creature was approx 8 to 10 feet tall, it was large and bulky, both my friend and I were experienced outdoorsmen and this was not anything we had ever seen before, the creature moved down the valley in the open area till it was out of sight. We watched as this creature stepped over an old fence which I would say was 3 to 4 feet tall, it never broke stride it just stepped over the fence and vanished into the night.
We cannot say what this was, but we can say what it wasn’t, it wasn’t a bear or a person, those deer would have been long gone if it was either of these, and the deer only moved away from this creature as it moved away, they never panicked and ran.
In this same area several years later I was walking down the old rock road, which is refered to as River Road and was going to fish the river. As I was walking along suddenly to my right and up a steep hillside I heard a loud crashing in the thick woods on the hill. Suddenly a very large doe came down the hill side as hard as she could go and jumped the road and then jumped in the air down a very steep and tall incline and into the field and ran as hard as she could go out of sight. I stood and thought what in the world scared that deer so bad.
It was then I heard something moving up on the hillside. As I stood and listened i realized that whatever this was walking on two feet and to me it sounded like it was large as it walked, somewhat a walk that inferred to me something with great weight was moving on that hillside. I listened as it moved and I decided to move also, I decided I would much rather be in an open area and I moved down the road and honestly I was hoping to see this creature as I suspected this was the same Sasquatch I had seen years before.
I came to an open area where on the right was a little shack with a creek to its left and the end of the hillside where whatever this was had been walking. The creature had beat me to the place and there was no sight of anything other than a log on the hillside was freshly moved and I have always suspected this was wear the creature put his foot and it slid, this was not a small log and it was old and embedded but something big had made it move and it was fresh disturbance. I never saw anything and found no tracks. But I will always believe this was the same creature I had seen walk through the River Bottom of Salt River near Glensboro in Anderson County..
3: Boy & Girl See Bigfoot Sitting on Log
This story was reported to me and was second person told. The person who told me this was a close friend with one of the witnesses and spoke with the witness for me as I wanted to do an interview with one of the witnesses however, this sighting had such a negative impact in this person that they did not want to talk about it, at all!
The brother and sister lived on the Harry Wise Road in Anderson County Kentucky, one day they were walking down a path behind their home as they had done many times before and as they turned a corner they were both frozen in their tracks by what they saw.
Sitting on a log was a Bigfoot. They said the creature looked at them and then got up and turned and walked away.
4: Two men see Bigfoot walking on Ridge in Anderson County Kentucky in 1970's.
Bruce Young and his friend decided it would be a good time to go for a ride and enjoy the late afternoon while riding the back roads of Anderson County. As they rode along they talked about cars, hunting and girls. As they were cruising down Hammond Creek Road Bruce glanced up and as he did he saw something moving along the top of a hill. He stopped the car and told his friend to look up there and see what he was seeing. Bruce jumped out of the car and stood staring at the middle line of the hill and this creature he was watching move along the top. It was just after sunset but there was plenty of light to see this creature. He described it as being seven feet tall or more, huge in size and to him it looked like a massively built, hairy, manlike creature.
He stood for what he thought was maybe 30 seconds watching the creature move along. Bruce was approximately 50-60 yards away and he said as he watched he realized he was having what is known as, "goose bumps” appear all over his body. Bruce said the creature moved in what he described as an easy gait, and the hair was long and dark brown. Bruce Young viewed nature much differently after that moment. His thoughts on life and nature were altered. He was a changed man, and what changed his life was a huge, hairy, manlike creature known as
Bigfoot.
5: Elderly Couple See Large Creature walking tree line late 1990's.
The elderly couple had lived on the Harry Wise Road for over fifty years and the man was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. This story was told to me by a friend of the couple and not from the man himself as when I was in Kentucky and had the opportunity to go and interview the man in person, he was sick. He is in his late 80's.
One afternoon as the woman was in the kitchen she saw something back in the field moving along a tree line and she called her husband to come and look. The man watched closely as this animal walked along the outer edge of the tree line. With eyes sharpened by spending his life outdoors he watched until the creature moved back into the woods and was gone.
This sighting was in the late afternoon. When he would tell the story of what he saw he would say it was a bear walking on its back legs as that just had to be what it was, however, he also would say it was huge, bigger than anything he had ever seen or thought would be in the area. The friend who told me the story said the old man's eyes seemed to take on a different look when he spoke of this sighting, a look for wonder and a look as if he was saying something did not really believe but was the only way he knew to explain it..
6: Man reports seeing large creature walking along top of hill.
I received a report from a friend who told me a man who owned property near Taylorsville Lake in Anderson County had watched a large creature walk along the edge of his property which overlooked the lake below.
The man stated this creature was huge and walked upright on two legs and was looking in the direction of the lake every now and then as it moved along the ridge of the land. He said the creature finally turned and went down the hill towards the lake and he never saw it again. The man was adamant of what he saw and wanted to remain anonymous as he did not want to deal with the ridicule of his friends and neighbors which are something that people feel in reports like this very often.
I spoke to this man at the gate to his property and I believe what he said. His sighting was in the late 1990's.
7: Lynn Hutton and his son have amazing sighting in 1993 In Anderson County Kentucky.
Lynn Hutton has lived in Anderson County his en-tire life and is a very likeable man. He and his family have lived in the
small community of String Town for many years, which is just a short distance to the south of Lawrenceburg. Like many in this rural part of Kentucky, Lynn has been a hunter for most of his life. It was on a scouting trip on the Bonds Mill Rd. in the fall of 1993 to check for a place to deer hunt that Lynn and his young son’s lives were changed forever.
Lynn and his son were walking down a pathway alongside a dense cedar covered field. They were looking for signs of deer and a good place to setup for deer hunting. They were in an area approximately two miles from Panther Rock. As they were walking along suddenly
a large, hairy, manlike creature stepped out of the dense cedars and walked directly in front of them. This creature was within 20 feet of both Lynn and his son. The creature as well as Lynn and his son both flinched when they saw each other. Lynn and his son were both frozen
in place as their minds tried to understand what they were seeing.
This creature was very tall, thick and heavy. It was covered with long matted hair. The creature had stopped and turned its head to look at Lynn and his son and then it did something extremely odd. It stopped and with its eyes locked on Lynn and his son it walked backwards into the cedars from where it came. Lynn and his son were not only startled, they were scared out of their wits. Lynn grabbed his son and headed back and out of where they were as quickly as he could. It was many years before Lynn or his son told their story.
But over time Lynn told some friends and this was how the story came to me. Lynn and I had known each other for many years, we had attended school together and when I found his phone number and gave him a call it was good to speak with an old friend. As I spoke with Lynn about his story I could tell from his voice that he was telling me something he unequivocally
believed. I could hear not only the sincerity, but the conviction and honesty of someone who had something happen to him that was damn hard to believe, and damn hard to talk about. I could also still hear the fear in Lynn’s voice, even after all the years, as he told of the moment
this creature walked out in front of him and his son, and changed their
lives forever.
The one aspect of this story that I found extremely interesting was how the creature walked backwards with its head turned toward Lynn and his son and reentered the cedar covered land. This aspect of his sighting just made me think about the mind of this creature and what
it was thinking at this moment. Its coherent mind and its humanlike response to walking into a situation that not only surprised it but made it realize it could be in danger. The creature did not attack, it did not show aggression, it did not freeze and stand still like it was petrified
nor did it run away. It calmly backtracked its way exactly where it had come from, slowly and methodically retreating into the wilderness.
The eyewitness states that the creature never lost eye contact with them until they fled. This one moment in this sighting event tells a great deal about this creature we call Bigfoot. From this sighting we find a nonaggressive creature that apparently holds no ill will toward man and hasno desire to hurt or interact with man. We have a creature that is intelligent enough to calmly retreat while watching the humans who have startled it, a creature smart enough to not panic and possibly get it killed or injured. We have a creature that shows many levels of understanding and thought along with a level of intellect that many would think impossible from a creature many consider a savage, unintelligentanimal. We see a creature that actually acts like us, in many ways.
8: Man and his children have sighting on Harry Wise Road in 2006.
I spoke with the man through email and his report is also listed online so I will respect his desire to remain anonymous and as his story is public, report it here. The man has had multiple visual sightings as well as hearing what he thinks were the sounds made my Bigfoot..
Here is his sightings in his own words:
"Quote" it was a warm summer day of 2006 my kids and i were fishing in small pool from a creek off of harry wise rd. It stepped out of the tree line about 25ft away and at first It looked like a large man in brown carhartt coveralls. The whole thing lasted less then a minute, it stood there and starred at us. I looked over at my daughter and she was pale white she saw it too, when i looked back it was gone it had stepped back into the trees just a stealthily as it stepped out of them. This is not the first time ive seen this creature , Once in the summer of 1990 but i dismissed it as me seeing things. Then i saw it again two years ago in a tree line, all of the sightings have been close to the set of three red dots. There have been numerous other times other family members have heard what i believe to be its strange howls. As well as a few sites where trees have been scratched up as high as 7 feet in the air like something was dulling its claws. There was a peak of strange activity in the late 80's where there seemed to be allot of activity however at that time there where people living off of Bailys run and after they left the sightings quit of course."End Quote"
9: More reports
On the website Kentucky Bigfoot you can find even more reports from Anderson County. Just click the link below:
http://www.kentuckybigfoot.com/new.htm
I suspect there are many more reports in Anderson County Kentucky as in all parts of Kentucky. I have two new reports from Anderson County which I am trying to verify as I write this today. Either Bigfoot has a reason to move through Anderson County or it is like this in many places and it just so happens the people of Anderson County are just more observant and willing to talk than others are, hopefully that will change and more will come forward.
1: Man finds huge track and takes picture in 2007:

The Walking Bear Of Poor Town..
Many years ago when I was a very young boy I would visit my grandfather and grandmother Canter at their little store in a place called Poor Town located in Jessamine County Kentucky. The little town was on the cliffs of the Kentucky River and for someone who was so vertically challenged at the time the distance from the cliff edge seemed like an eternity to the river below. The little town was full of characters such as the woman who wore a garter belt and kept a derringer stuck in her carter and once shot a man’s toe off for trying to grab her derringer or maybe he had other ideas. Or the man who they all called the sheriff of Poor Town who was nothing more than a man who “said” he was the sheriff of Poor Town or the little man who stopped and danced to no music and then walked on. An eclectic mixture of the wonderfully non normal.
I would stand or sit and listen as the men would gather in the store or on the store front porch and they would talk and do the things men did at that time in life. They were all men whose word was extremely important to them. It was all they had at times as life was not easy back then for many of them. I would be quiet and listen so close to the tales of war and love and hunger. But there was one story that I will always remember, I will always remember how the faces and tone of words would change whenever someone brought up The Walking Bear Of Poor Town..
You could sense and feel the uneasiness whenever the story was brought up. Whatever came through Poor Town on that fateful night placed fear in the hearts of fearless men and made them question what they believed in and most of all, made them question themselves.
It was late at night and the folks of Poor Town were asleep when it happened. It started with a few dogs down the road barking then seeming to go berserk. Almost everyone had a dog and most dogs stayed outside. One house where a true free spirit lived had least 50 dogs in the yard and house. All 50 dogs would soon wake up everyone in Poor Town. The first dogs down the road apparently came out of the yard and attacked whatever was coming down the road. The people who had awoken only heard the dogs attack and then whelp and then silence. It was then the creature neared the house with all the dogs and all hell broke loose.
From what the men said over and over some of the dogs jumped the fence or burst through the fence and attacked. My grandfather and several other men had by now gotten up and had their guns and were standing on their porches trying to see in the dark. They could hear dogs fighting then screaming and then running away. I remember my grandfather Canter telling how at first he could not see the thing but suddenly he could make out a huge dark shape walking in the middle of the road that ran directly in front of his store. He said it was the biggest bear anyone had ever seen and it was walking on its back legs and never went to all fours as it walked by and down the little hill and vanished from his sight and was then attacked by more dogs. The others who had seen the shape also spoke as my grandfather did, but in their eyes and voices you could tell they were telling this because they could not begin to imagine what it really was. Several dogs were killed and some were maimed for life and some it seemed ran away and were never seen again, the next morning the road was like a butcher field.
Sometimes after dark we would walk down to a large flat rock that you could stand on and overlook a huge valley with the Kentucky River running through it. We would stand on that rock and listen. I remember hearing big cats, and I do mean big cats but every now and then we would hear this loud strange howling moan which at times turned into a screaming growl. I would ask my father what was that? He always said it was just the echoes off the cliff walls. When we would hear this sound I always remember him easing his pistol out of his pocket and saying "let’s head back".
Some say that sound was nothing more than echoes in the night, but to me it will always be, The Walking Bear Of Poor Town..

Knock, Knock. Who's there?
Something that really gets on my nerves are hoaxers. Namely ones in the paranormal area. We've all seen the footage and pictures of pie plates tossed in the air, stuffed costumes in blocks of ice, soldiers photoshopped onto former battlefields, and 'reality' shows where magicians' tricks are used to make objects move. It makes researching the paranormal a bit hard because in order to get to the paranormal, you have to weed out the normal. To put it bluntly, you have to weed through a lot of crap. And like anyone who takes the paranormal seriously, I get a little tired of the crap.
Last summer, I had something pretty strange happen here at home in the woods of East Texas that made me think, "oh crap!". I pulled into my driveway about 9:30 or so after a late evening grocery shopping trip, killed the engine, took my keys out, and sat there with the door open to finish my cigarette before unloading groceries. Probably about five minutes later, after I had sat there in the seat petting the cat who had come to greet me, I heard three knocks out in the woods to the east of me. They were distinct wood on wood knocks. They sounded like someone beating a tree with a two by four or big bat or something. Knock. Knock. Knock. The knocks were probably about a second and a half apart. Living in the woods, I've heard trees fall, I've heard branches break off and fall to the ground, I've heard animals walking, I've heard wood peckers, people working, etc. This was none of those. This was wood on wood knocking. Knocking, as most of you readers know, that many say is the signature of a Bigfoot.
My heart skipped a beat instantly. Not because I instantly thought "Bigfoot", but because it was one of those sounds that you don't hear out in the woods. And you're normally not supposed to. To hear it meant "invader" to me. That was my first instinct. There was someone or something out there near me making that noise. It didn't sound like an accident or anything else I ruled out, it sounded precise and deliberate. Knock. Knock. Knock.
If I look at it with a skeptical eye, there could have been someone in the woods knocking on a tree. There is a deer stand about a quarter of a mile down the road in that direction. But this was at night, in the summer. And it was just knocks and nothing else. No hammering. No motors running. There was nothing else that I could hear. I sat out in my car for a while and heard no other clues. The only other idea would be someone out there screwing around. But realistically? Screwing around? In the woods of deep east Texas, near houses, late at night? Most here know that it's a good way to get dogs on your tail or shot at. And speaking of, my dogs weren't barking. I don't know where they were at the time.
Looking at it positively, there's been Bigfoot sightings in all of the neighboring counties according to the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy. The witnesses have been interviewed and most of the stories sound very credible and reputable according to researchers. A group of college students and their professor even notified a park ranger after they encountered what they believed to be a Bigfoot on an overnight field trip in a nearby National Forest, so perhaps there's an official report filed somewhere. There's been no sightings in my county. Why exactly, I don't know. If there has been sightings, the lack of reports could be anything from lack of IT knowledge, to some local or cultural social conditioning that dictates people not talk about such things. I can't say for certain.
Later that evening, I went outside like I usually do to listen to the coyotes and the nocturnal birds, pet my cats, and enjoy some fresh night air before I went to bed. I didn't stay out as long as I usually do, just in case there was something or someone out there. I was genuinely leery, and I'm pretty comfortable out here. Leery is not a feeling that I feel much of out in my front yard.
But I still can't say for certain that it was Ol' Sas. I even went walking down the road the next morning, looking for footprints. I didn't see any. But of course that doesn't mean he wasn't out there. He could have gone the other direction toward the creek. If it was Ol' Sas, that very well could have been the case. But I still can't say for certain it was him. If it was someone out there messing around, they were pulling a bunch of crap. I'm not tired of it though. I'd actually love to hear it again so maybe I can see if I can weed some normal out of it and get closer to finding out what it is.

They Came Out Of The Sky Landed Just A Little South Of ..Everywhere?
They came out of the sky and landed just a little south of …everywhere!
For those of you who have not heard over the past few days some very strange stories have been reported all over the world in regards to a mass UFO sighting. What makes all this even stranger is that it was predicted. Let us first mosey over to this website and read about the prediction:
Stanley Fulhams Prediction
It is important to note that this article was posted on October 9th at 2:31 PM ET 2010. In this article the following is stated by Stanley A. Fulman who is allegedly a former Norad officer.
“October 13, 2010, is the disclosure date where mankind will have no doubt that aliens are among us, according to a book by a former NORAD officer. Retired Air Force Officer Stanley A. Fulham released the third edition of his 352-page book, Challenges of Change, which suggests that on October 13 there will be "a massive UFO display over the world's principal cities."
Remember the above article was published on the 9th of October 2010 and what we visit next happened on October 13th 2010. First let us jettison ourselves to this report:
UFOS Over NYC 10/13/10
This report concerns large numbers of “shiny round objects” and some saw a tail on an object. This was seen by multiple witnesses on 10/13/10..
Then let us transport ourselves to this website:
UFOs Over GGB 10/13/10
This video claims that UFO’S were seen over the Golden Gate Bridge on 10/13/10!
And now we zoom over to this website:
Phantoms & Monsters
Where we read an entire village in China is reportedly gone (like not there anymore) after some kind of event involving aliens ? But this report was dated 10/13/10.
There are many other websites reporting the above events and other event that could very well be associated with the uncanny prediction of x Norad officer Stanley A. Fulman there is talk of this being nothing more than balloons and also talk of as 2012 nears we will all see more and more of these kinds of events as we are now being watched even more closely as our end times draw near.
Let us not forget that just a few weeks ago, Sept 10th 2010, it was announced that Mazlin Othman, a Malaysian Astrophysicist was announced to be the new “Greeter” for any visitors from somewhere in space or time coming to say howdy to us. Not just for Malaysia but for the entire world, this is the ultimate greeter gig.
The FaceBook page Virginia Beach UFO Quest followed the sightings reports as they came in and many people were reading and commenting as to what exactly was going on? Was it balloons? What was happening?
The use of “it’s balloons” has kind of worn itself out, like when all sighting were “swamp gas”. However no one is certain exactly what was being seen apparently all over the world on 10/13/10. It is a bit unnerving that Mr. Fulham seems to know things that the people who paid his salary were not privy too but that is nothing new.
It seems there is no factual verification of who exactly is Stanley A. Fulham and if he is actually who he says he is. I looked for Mr. Fulhams book and lo and behold there it was hovering over Amazon.com. Below is a link to his book page.
His Book Page
and look what it says about the availability.
“Out of Print--Limited Availability.”
It seems Mr Fulham has written at least four more books and they are all “out of print” with some “Limited Availability”.
I just discovered Mr Fulham has a website, you can click the link below and visit his website:
Mr.Fulmans Website/
It seems Stanley Fulham will be the guest on Coast To Coast AM on Friday 10/15/2010 which is today, maybe some clarity will emerge from his interview?
This is all the information I have gathered about this event and I must say I am not convinced it is as big an event as many are thinking it might be , much speculation about what was seen in the skies above NYC as well as the other reports. But then again, perhaps we are seeing something real? Only time will tell, it always does for those who listen and many times can actually be seen, for those who look up.

The Tales of Mr. Smiley and Philip Aylesford
I started to write a serious article. Something all scientificky about poltergeist phenomena or Bigfoot. But then I thought, "..gosh darn-it. It's Halloween. I want to tell something scary." And then I thought about what's more scary, mystery or reality? Of course all the philosophers will say mystery. You know, the whole "fear of the unknown" line of thought. And it's true, the unknown is scary. Then I thought about how scary reality can be too. So I decided to tell about Mr. Smiley's grave.
Long ago, while reading about many of the ghost stories and sightings around Texas, I came across a couple of tales about Mr. Smiley's grave. Mr. Smiley, they say, was a very mean man. Mean and crazy. He was so mean that he eventually took it out on his poor wife and children. He shot them and then shot himself one night. If you want proof, their grave is in a small cemetery near Garland Texas in Mills Cemetery. The tombstone is of moderate size and has all five names clearly engraved in the stone. Mr. Smiley, his beloved wife, and three children are all listed there. They rest below in a single mass grave. At least four of them are resting...
The locals say that the cemetery is peaceful by day. It's a well kept one with a manicured lawn and dotted with shade trees. But some will also tell you that it is not the place to be after dark. This is because Mr. Smiley is apparently still angry. He's so angry with what he's done to himself and his family that he's trying to take it out on someone else. He's trying to drag you down with him, as the saying goes.
If you go to the Smiley family's grave well after dark, people say that strange things will be felt and seen. Around Halloween is best. On Halloween is even better. Halloween at midnight is almost a certainty. Stand on top of the grave and they say that Mr. Smiley will try to pull you in. He'll grab your ankles and try to pull you off balance. This is no joke. People have actually stood on his grave and felt this, along with the sadness of the horrible event and a mysterious light in the cemetery.
A while back, I dug around and found out that the Smiley family really died in a tornado. The same tornado also claimed the lives of some of the family's relatives and several others in the town, including the Mayor.
This is just another one of those tales that we often run across when looking for ghost stories and sightings. The real stories are often forgotten, but later gain a new life when someone sees the mass grave of an entire family in a cemetery that they're strolling through for the first time. Such a grave, one containing both parents and children, often spurs images of a terrible disaster. Rightfully so, but those mental images of a nameless disaster that one can only imagine also bring about legends that are many times more scary than just a family's tombstone in a cemetery. It's normal too. That's why the stories are spun and told. They're supposed to scare you.
The feeling of being off balance could be explained by disorientation caused by standing on even slightly uneven ground and relaxing your body or closing your eyes. The orbs, unless there is something just amazingly abnormal and rare about them, are most likely air borne particles. The sadness? That's going to occur with anyone who's sensitive (or not) and see's the names of an entire family on one grave. What about the light around the cemetery? Perhaps it's the reflection of something, or maybe distant car headlights. Perhaps it, like the feeling of being pulled in (if anyone has actually experienced it), could all be from the imagination. What if so many people believing the same thing is making something happen somehow?
Think about it for a second. It's possible for someone to concentrate on a subject in a manner that will cause them to dream about it at night. Perfectly sane people do it all the time when lucid dreaming. Why can't that be done when awake, resulting in someone to see something that they want to see? This could be a perfectly rational explanation for the sightings of lone witnesses.
Then there's the story of Philip Aylesford. He was from England and lived sometime in the 1600s. He was a devout supporter of the King and was married to the daughter of a nearby nobleman. Sometime after his marriage, Philip came to know a Gypsy woman who was from a nearby encampment. After instantly falling in love with her, he had her carried to the stables of his family's manor in secret. One thing led to another and Philip's wife eventually found out. The Gypsy was put on trial and then burned at the stake for being a witch. Soon after, Philip decided that he would take his own life. He jumped to his death one night from the battlements that he often paced at his home.
Philip's story isn't entirely true either. He never lived. His story was created by members of the Toronto Society for Psychical Research who conducted an experiment in the the early 70s to see if they could create a ghost. They started off by creating Philip entirely from scratch. Like a character in a movie, they picked his age, his looks, his occupation, his background, how he died, his family, and so on. Then they imagined that he was haunting the place. Dr. A.R.G. Owen, an expert researcher on poltergeist phenomena, guided the TSPR on conducting their experiment. Seven other people from TSPR were used as guinea pigs to pretend this ghost existed. A psychologist, Dr. Joel Whitton, also sat in as an observer on many of the group's sessions. What happened after that? After about a year of trying, Philip began to make himself known.
The incidents were documented too. It really happened. There were witnesses, film, audio, and doctors present. It started with an episode at a seance where tapping on the table was noted. Objects began to levitate in later sessions. Using the taps, he would even communicate with the group by responding to their questions about his life. To my knowledge, at least three other research groups have conducted similar experiments afterward and have succeeded. So, it appears that this is very much possible. I'm sure it's not the case with all hauntings, of course. There are too many documented ones that don't fit the bill and are witnessed by lone families or single individuals, some of them even non-believers, in places with no known history or influence. But still, it apparently can happen. The TSPR proved that it was possible. They made Philip a reality.
When you think about it, that's more scary than the story of Mr. Smiley.

The Ghosts Of Rosewell And Maple Syrup..
The Ruins Of Rosewell
Rosewell Plantation, Gloucester Virginia.
For those of you who have never heard of The Rosewell Plantation (link) It is considered one of the best structures built during the colonial times. Started in 1725, or earlier depending on which story you read, and home to the Page family for over a century. What is left today is what would be called the ruins of the structure, with four chimneys, a wine cellar and enough of the structure to give a glimpse of It's one time majesty.
My son Travis and I decided to travel to the Rosewell Plantation on what we thought would be a recon mission to just check out the area and see if It was possible to be on the property at night to do research into the numerous ghost stories associated with the grounds, and then come back at a later date with equipment and more people. We had no idea that what we considered an exploratory journey would turn into a very memorable trip with some very memorable paranormal aspects.
Our drive to the ruins was enjoyable as we rode along country roads with a house here and there along the roads, the fields of corn and wheat were like blankets on the land and the area was beautiful to behold. We traveled along a blacktop road till we hit a gravel road, the signs along the way point to our destination. Following the signs we arrived at the visitors center and entered the building and spoke with the very nice lady at the desk. A brief conversation would be important to something that occurred later in the day. I mentioned to the lady that we were interested in seeing the grounds and then we would be going to the Abingdon Chapel to view the tombs that had been removed from the plantation, when I mentioned this I also mentioned that I had read that the bodies and the tombs had been moved, the lady told me the bodies had "not" been moved, only the tombs.
A retired couple from Florida was also visiting that day and were inside the visitor center with us, this made a total of four visitors on the grounds, the lady from Florida said they had just been to the Abingdon Chapel and a man was at the chapel and had let them inside. Little did this lady realize this brief encounter with me by her and her husband, would most likely be one her and her husband would never forget.
We paid the $4 fee to go back to the ruins and got in my van and drove back the dirt road to the ruins. on both sides of the gravel road you will see large fields of wheat and then you drive into a a heavily wooded area and on your right you see the ruins sitting in the middle of a large open area that is surrounded by trees and thick brush into the woods. The area around the ruins is surrounded by fields of corn, and when you first get out and look at the ruins you find yourself pausing and thinking what this all must have been like many years ago and also thinking who had lived here and walked here.
It was a beautiful early afternoon and my son and I started walking toward the ruins, we walked between huge old trees in the direction of the front steps, my son stopped and said "Dad? do you smell that?", I stopped and smelled the air and looked at him and said "What is that? is that maple syrup?". We both stood there and were just baffled by the overwhelming smell. This was not a whiff of a scent, It was an extremely strong smell. We checked every tree, every shrub, bush in the area, we rubbed our fingers on the leaves of the bushes and we even checked the roots of trees for the source of this smell, the smell was only in an area that was about 20 ft by 20 ft. If you walked out of this area, the smell was gone.
We had no answer to where this strong smell was coming from so we moved on to look over the ruins. Visitors are given a map of the grounds and the map shows the areas of interest on the grounds. We looked over the ruins and then moved on to the back of the structure and then to the first path into the lush woods to the "Brick Ice House", we walked through the woods and found the large round brick lined hole in the ground and then we walked back out and found the path to the "Ancient Boxwood Tree". While at the Boxwood tree site I had the feeling that I was being watched, this happened several times as we stood and looked at the Boxwood tree. We ventured on into the woods, where we were not supposed to go, and followed a very small path into the dense brush. We came to the river banks and we stood and talked about how this was most likely the way the explorers had come to the area. We headed back and I took some photos and we turned to walk back out the path, as we did I thought I saw some-kind of movement to our left, I asked my son if he saw something move to our left in the brush-line and he said no.
Ancient Boxwood Tree
When we got back out into the open area around the ruins the retired couple from Florida had arrived and were walking around the ruins, we talked for a few minutes and I mentioned to them why we were there and told them that many strange stories have been told over the years about this place, a young girl is seen walking down the steps in the late evening and the sounds of slaves coming back from the fields have been also reported, I also asked them if they had smelled the maple syrup smell in the area we had smelled the smell, they said no but they came up on the other side.
They then walked on to check out the Boxwood tree and the cemetery and the ice house, my son and I walked around the ruins more and I took more photos and then we decided to leave, but this would not be our last encounter with the retired couple from Florida.
When we reached the end of the gravel road I decided to turn left instead of right to check out where the blacktop road led to. This area of the blacktop road was surrounded by fields of wheat, and as we drove along my eye caught something to my left in the wheat field, I stopped and looked and then told my son to look and see what he thought I was seeing. Jokingly I said "I think that is a crop circle". I drove down the road and turned around and came back to the spot where we saw the disturbance in the field, I stopped and we got out and stood and looked at the disturbed area out in the field. I will let everyone judge for themselves what this is, however, this certainly looks like other images of a so called crop circle to me. My son stood on the back bumper of my van to take some pictures and also try and see if an entrance path to the disturbed area could be seen, he could see none. I was not going to walk out into this field as It was someones crop and also, I'm sure, private property.
Strange Circle In Field
We got back in the van and we just sitting and talking about the circle when we noticed the retired couple coming out of the gravel road from the ruins, instead of going right to leave they turned left and drove in our direction. They pulled up and stopped and I noticed they seemed kind of excited. They both started talking and telling what had happened to them.
The ancient Boxwood tree in in an area approximately 20 x20 ft and is surrounded by dense brush, the lady was standing by the tree and her husband was taking a picture of her. She was leaning forward in the truck and telling the story and her face showed she was truly shaken. Her husband took a picture of her standing by the Boxwood tree and she said just as he did, they both saw the brush to their left part, just as if someone had walked out of the brush. She said she asked her husband if he saw that? He replied yes and they both started walking out as fast as they could.
There was no wind that day and the brush around the Boxwood tree is extremely dense and It would most likely take someone with a machete to cut through the brush to even attempt to walk through it.
The husband then began talking and he said as they were leaving they walked through the area where my son and I had smelled the maple syrup smell, he said with a wide-eyed look on his face that they had smelled it also and that he had checked out everything around that area and nothing had the smell or was emitting that smell. They were just as bewildered as my son and I as to what was making this smell and they were shaken by what they had seen in the woods.
We spoke a few more minutes and then a truck came along and we had to move long, this was the last we saw of the retired couple from Florida, but I am sure my son and I and the husband and wife will always remember our time at the Plantation. Four strangers in the middle of no-where having an event that would always be remembered.
We drove out of the this strange but beautiful area and back onto route 17 to the Abingdon Chapel, the connection with Rosewell and the chapel is the tombs of the Page family were moved from the cemetery on the Rosewell property to the cemetery on the grounds of the chapel. Upon arrival we walked to the chapel and entered the front door, a man was inside cleaning and told us to come on in and look around. He was as nice a person as anyone could want to meet and told us all about the church. He was a long time member and sang in the choir and also helped out with maintenance of the grounds.
One of the graves at the chapel is of a young girl, could this be the young girl who has been reported seen walking down the steps at Rosewell? As I stood looking down on this child's grave, I had a vision of this child coming down the steps to go play in the yard.
I told the man we had been to the Rosewell ruins and I mentioned we were at the church to take photos of the tombs, I also asked why the tombs were moved yet the bodies were left at the Rosewell property. He said "Oh the bodies are here, they were moved when the tombs were moved". I never mentioned that the lady at the visitors center had told me the bodies were "not" moved, they were still on the property, hmmm? so where are the bodies of the Page family?
Tombs Of The Page Family At Abingdon Church
Our trip turned into a very memorable trip, even though the nice lady at the visitor center said that coming in at night to film and do audio recording would not be possible, I still have not given up on trying to do this. The maple syrup smell could be from a natural source, however, as I stood smelling the air, I instantly thought of years ago as a child when I would stand and watch people make molasses with a team of mules and how that smell had this "old time" aroma to it, just as this maple syrup smell did. What ever that source is, It is not near the 20 foot area where it can be smelled, the event that happened to the retired couple, I believe, happened and they saw something that is unexplainable at this time. The crop circle in the field could have been made by some-kind of natural event, however, It was very strange to see and at this time I have no idea how It formed in the field. We will be returning to Rosewell and hopefully at night, I am convinced there is much going on at Rosewell, much going on of the paranormal type.

Danville Kentucky Cave Of Mystery..1906?
DANVILLE, Ky., Feb. 10. -- Enthusiastic over the beauties of a newly discovered cave found by Irvin E. Parks five miles from Danville and two miles east of Perryville, Parks, Eugene Carpenter, George and Joseph Godbey, and John Mitchell returned this evening, bearing geological curiosities and five opossums and five coons..
Read Article Here
You can read this article about what was found in a Danville Kentucky cave many years ago at the link above. The New York Times article is dated 1906 and one day after the article apparently was posted somewhere. The actual source is not stated but perhaps it is The New York Times.
The article is in .pdf form and I also have included a image for those who cannot see a .pdf file.
See article as an image here
As to to the validity of this article I have no proof of anything. I have had this for many years and thought I would share this story. I have heard some very wild stories of the caves in the area surrounding Danville and the Jessamine County areas, I have always wondered if this story is a real story or another tall tale from the beautiful hills of Ole Kantuck..

Blobsquatchery! It is! no Its not!!!
" Yes, a picture of Bigfoot! Proof! You do see it don’t you? what? What the hell do you mean it is blurry? This is a picture of Bigfoot and this proves Bigfoot is real!!! I can see Bigfoot in this photo! Look at the coned head which proves it is Bigfoot! Look at the long arms and if it were moving you would see this is Bigfoot as it has a rise and fall to its gait from its mid tarsal joint! Also its eyes would be glowing because Bigfoot’s eyes glow but not right now!"
The above paragraph is depictive of numerous exchanges online between individuals concerning the infamous Blobsquatch videos/images.
I would like to welcome everyone to the wild and deranged would of Blobsquatches!!! A Blobsquatch is what you see in images and videos that are out of focus and blurry and just so bad you cannot tell what is in the image. The number of blurry out of focus bouncing vibrating videos and images one can find online with people proclaiming they are Bigfoot is enormous. However the vast majority are just hoaxes and not done as a malicious act it is just people doing what people do and in their minds and others they are just messing around and having fun.
But then again we have some people who actually believe they are capturing images of Bigfoot in these horrible images and videos and they become instantly outraged and insanely defensive when someone nicely points out they see nothing in the images and they are blurry and out of focus. Of course this does not mean there are not images that are out of focus and extremely blurry or video that is so shaky it is impossible to see what is in the video, that just might, maybe , could be an actual image capture of Bigfoot.
We also have self described analysts who break down these images and videos with very descriptive language and overlays of arrows and outlines and they proclaim what they are seeing and speaking to proves the subject in the video/image is Bigfoot. How bizarre! How strange, do they have no basic understanding of photographic analysis or video analysis? Do they have a clue that the images online are compressed with in many cases, different codec’s that degrade the image and only add to the distortion? Do they not realize you must have the raw data to make the best possible analysis of these images/videos?
I personally have no real issue with most of the people who post Blobsquatches but as for those who are just posting bullshit and wasting peoples time that are truly trying to do serious research, I would hope over time these individuals are not given a public platform to spread their crap.
We need all the information we can get to solve this amazing mystery and we need the community to work together as a unit to share information and hopefully one day soon we will all b able to fully understand this amazing creature that walks through our dreams and seems embedded in our souls..
Oh and BTW,the image at the top is nothing more than a picture I took of a wooded area, there is nothing there other than a bush , but then again? :-)

Looking for Ignis Fatuus in East Texas
A friend of mine and I went to look for the famous (famous in my neck of the woods anyway) Bragg Road Ghost Light a few days ago. For those of you not "in the know", Bragg Road is a road deep down in the forests of East Texas near a little town called Saratoga. Formerly a railroad line, the road is straight as an arrow and travels due north. Years after the railroad was dismantled and the county put the dirt road in, stories began to pop up about the ghost light. It seems that when traveling down this road, many people have experienced a strange light approaching their cars (or come up from behind) and speed right past them or over them. Some people have seen "nothing really" and others were so impressed (or disturbed) by the sighting that they've said it's made them rethink their perspective on reality. A friend of the person who went with me said that he couldn't stop thinking about it for two weeks.
The legend goes that it's the lantern of a railway brakeman who lost his head after the train rolled over him. I'm sure you know the rest. Yep, the light is him looking for his head. Other legends range from the light being that of a phantom hunter lost in the woods, murdered Mexican workers who were killed by their foreman for their money (there's supposed to be a small Mexican cemetery off of this road), the spirits of the Caddo Indians who once made this area home, and others...
No one's discovered what the light really is yet, so the thing is still a mystery today. In addition to this mysterious light, other strange phenomena has been experienced on this road. These things include missing time, disorientation, compasses spinning wildly, eerie silence when there should be crickets and other swamp critters heard, and even sightings of ol' Bigfoot himself.
Probably a mile after we entered the eight mile long dirt road, we see our first light. After a little ways up the road, we discover that it's just a car load of teenagers. Further down the road, another light pops up behind us. We suspected it was the teenagers behind us, so we didn't bother stopping to wait for the light to zoom past us like it's supposed to. Even further down, another light. This one turned out to be someone on a four-wheeler who thought he'd park beyond the treeline next to the road so we wouldn't see him. Once almost to the end of the road, yet another light appeared behind us. Again, we suspect the four-wheeler or more teenagers. We arrived to the end of the road, turned around, and headed back. Yep, there were the last set of "lights": a group of teens standing around their truck in one of the many pull-off spots on the road made so people could park and wait for the light while listening to the sounds of the Big Thicket. As we began to make our way out, we see one last light almost at the halfway point down the road.
"Maybe this is it", we hoped. So we stopped our car and began looking, watching it closely. It moved! Not forward, but side to side. Maybe the four-wheeler guy is playing tricks on us by driving all over the road? Hehehe.. We'll just turn our lights off and drive a little closer to play with him. "He's gonna sh*t bricks when we turn our lights back on and we're a couple hundred yards closer". When I turned the lights off though, the light we were looking at was gone.
We knew what that normally meant. The "light" that we spotted was not giving off light, but reflecting ours. "It's something reflective that someone put out there to catch wind and move and fool people", we figured. So we turned our lights on and kept driving slowly. We're gonna solve this particular mystery. We'd stop every now and then and watch it. Still, it would move around and even get closer. When killing the lights, it again disappeared. After driving slowly for almost a quarter of a mile, this light turns into two lights. Green ones. Then we start to see a form around it. Something/someone is there! It's time to roll the windows up. After getting a little closer, our strange shape with two reflectors made itself known. It turned out to be a very large bobcat walking around in the road. A bobcat that we started seeing from about a quarter of a mile away.
We never saw the famous ghost light of Bragg Road, but that doesn't mean it's not there. I'm sure that if a die-hard skeptic were with us, the mystery would have been solved. "Well, that's it. It's just animals or people in vehicles", they would proudly proclaim. And then I would proclaim how it's a little hard for animals or vehicles to zoom past you or over the roof of your car while wearing nothing but a bluish light, as many credible witnesses have reported.
This story doesn't have anything to do with cryptozoology (though it does mention Bigfoot). It's just a little true tale written up to show that sometimes all is not what it seems. Philip's blog page is titled "Strange is normal". But sometimes, normal can be pretty strange too.

Sasquatch Can You Hear Me?
How does Sasquatch remain so elusive? After all these years and after all the people who chase the illusive one come up empty handed, how could this creature remain un-captured? We have very sophisticated equipment for detecting biological forms from their heat signature. We have the ability to not be within miles of the target subject. All these magical tools and Ole Sas still remains untouched and studied hands on.
From countless reports we have what seems to be a consensus that Sasquatch is not inclined to seek out humans and try to hug them or shake their hands, is this a creature of curiosity? Absolutely, have interactions taken place between humans and Sasquatch, absolutely. But overall the data would seem to say that in most cases Sasquatch just seems to vanish into the brush and is gone. How does anything be so elusive? Could it be that like other creatures it has senses that let it know we are near and using them it just slips away and moves on?
Ethology is the study of animal behavior. And in most cases those who study this field focus on animal processes rather than the animal itself. Many of you might have heard the story of Oscar the cat. Oscar would wander through a facility for dementia patients and when someone was in the process of dying, Oscar would get on their bed and sit and purr until they passed and then he would leave the room. What sense does Oscar have that tells him this person is dying? What of the many cases of animals somehow getting separated from their families by thousands of miles and somehow finding their way home? And when we talk about animals amazing sense of smell we can only try to understand just how important it is in their very existence. Some say Oscar uses his sense of smell to detect something that a dying body produces, or he uses his hearing to actually hear organs shutting down, or could it be that Oscar and other animals are tuned to life itself? Can they feel and sense the very being of life? I have a friend who is a hospice nurse and she has mentioned how a persons pet acts at the time of passing, without question, animals can sense when a person is dying.
It has been speculated that humans once had senses much more keen and powerful than we do now and we could sense events before they happened but we have lost these abilities and we have evolved into the creature we are today, dumbed down and our senses numbed by our propensity to be chemically enhanced even when we do not know we are.
I often have thought about the reports of people walking up on Sasquatch and being very close in encounters and if Sasquatch is also becoming less sensitive to its surrounding due to the poisoning of our water and air and food.
So how does this all relate to our friend Sasquatch, it relates on every level when trying to understand the illusiveness of this grand animal. Hyper smell? Hyper hearing? An unusual super sense of vibration? We do not know the answer to these questions but we do know that Like Oscar, animals have abilities in their senses that are far beyond what we have. But when discussing Sasquatch’s seemingly amazing ability to be out of sight where we think it should be in sight, maybe it is as simple as it is just a creature who can just do so..

Are you really ready to hunt Bigfoot?
Are you prepared to go into the field and search for Bigfoot? As I talk to people who head out on expeditions into the wilderness I find so many of these individuals carry items that help in their study but few have one essential that is a must to carry with you..
What should a person have with them when searching for Bigfoot.
Perhaps the most important item is a sample kit. A sample kit is not an expensive item but it is so important in gathering physical evidence. What does a sample kit consist of? in its simplest form it consists of containers to hold a sample such as a test tube with a top. Some tweezers or a device to gather evidence such as hair or scat. Labels that will stick to the test tubes so specific info can be written on the label and of course something to write on the labels. A magnifying glass is also something that will be of great help when examining fence for hair or other structure when a hair might have been snagged. A small notepad is another item that can be so important for writing down specifics of what is found to reference at a later time.
We could make a list of items like a flashlight or camera or water or numerous other items but those items are carried by almost everyone and the point I wanted to make is having a sample kit is so important in gathering and preserving evidence. Test tubes with tops are very cheap on places like Amazon.com and other internet shopping sites so putting together a sample kit is not something that costs a fortune but is worth its weight in gold if you find samples and need to preserve them for testing when you get back from your research trip..
Just keep the kit in your favorite backpack or something you have with you when you roam the woods in search of Ole Sas..

The Backyard Bigfoot Story Rages On!
As someone who listened to the Art Bell show for many years high strangeness in stories about all forms of subject matter is nothing new to me. I must admit the ongoing story of Mr. Mike and the backyard Bigfoot take me back to stories like Mel’s Hole and numerous other classic Coast To Coast stories. People in the chat room, and I am sure those listening on other devices, were shocked at the way Lan Lamphere acted on his show last night. The people who were shocked apparently do not listen to radio much as this type of hyperventilating is a common form of radio these days and it was a moot form for me as I could care less how he acted and I was there for the facts, or as close to facts as could be had.
I think it is important to just get over and move on from Mr. Lamphere’s diatribe and focus on what was said about Mr. Mike and his property and the Bigfoot community. Even in his deranged ranting Mr Lamphere spoke many words of truth, but he also spoke many words of non sense. It was reported on Chris Noel’s Facebook page that and un named researcher/investigator was sent to Mr. Mikes house with a thermal cam and reported that Mr. Mike was delusional and was seeing things and then numerous members of the Bigfoot community took this information and declared the event over and done and Mr. Mike was delusional and story over, case closed. As in my previous posts I did not buy this and never understood how anyone could just take this unknown/unnamed persons statement and declare this story over.
The strangeness only grew stranger as the night went on, the folks from the Faceboook group called FindBigfoot had hurled themselves into action and after contacting Lamphere went to Mr. Mikes house and using a flir camera stated they saw nothing but then stated they did see a hotspot? Isn’t that what they were looking for? Then Lamphere dropped the bomb of the night, unknown to the folks from the Facebook group Lamphere had set them up. He had been working with The History Channel and they had set up cameras on the property and were watching the Facebook folks and the property. According to Lamphere The History Channels cameras recorded several large shadows in the area where Mr Mike was saying he saw something. When this was being talked about I was taken back to the great story of the “Skinwalker Ranch” by George Knapp which I consider a must read.
So in the end Mr. Mike is not delusional and the guys from the Facebook page were left unsure of what happened to them and we still have no information on the film/images taken by anyone on the property. I feel certain the story is far from over and we will be gifted with more screaming and yelling and internal fighting between groups and people and confused people with confused looks on their faces and perhaps even somewhere in this quagmire elusive facts may even be found? Maybe?
In the immortal words of my friend Bill Green, “To Be continued, yes indeedy”….

Backyard Bigfoot Case Solved?
Cryptomundo.com is reporting that Christopher Noel knows the unnamed investigator/researcher who went to Mr Mikes house with a thermal cam and saw no Bigfoot. They are stating Mr Mike was seeing things? hmmm? first, who is this qualified investigator/researcher and what proof is there other than he/she says Mr Mike was hallucinating?
"Quote: My colleague has been able to determine that “Mike” was simply seeing things. “Mike” himself came to realize this during the course of the night on-site, when the “creatures” did not materialize before the thermal cameras" End Quote..
This has certainly been an odd bewildering case, perhaps we will get to hear Mr Mike tell us about his seeing things that were not there and we might get to hear the PI explain what he saw but most important, to me at least, is this unnamed investigator/researcher come forward and tell everyone who he is and speak directly to what happened, other than a second or third party statement of what happened and what was said..
We now return to normal programming...

The Pain Of Pain
I have somehow injured my left knee and it is really sore. I can barely walk and the pain is mind numbing. Of course this is the knee hooked to the leg supported by my bad left foot with I deal with everyday and hurts terribly. Last night I just could not take the level of pain and took some heavy duty pain medicine. I never take anything like that and it did not stop the pain but it made me fall asleep.
I suspect the same scenario with happen tonight, maybe early, maybe later, but very likely to happen..

Backyard Bigfoot Rambles On
After listening last night to 20 minutes of Lan Lamphere and Mr Mike I really still am not sure what this story is all about or where it is heading however I am going to make a prediction. My predictions are very seldom correct so I very seldom do them, but in this case I am hurling myself into this one with eyes closed tight and nerves of steel..
I predict that soon the herd of Bigfoot will disappear, they will just be gone and then we will have a story that will be debated for years and we might even have some blurry photos of blobby looking things that some will swear they can see the toes or fingers or coned head and they will also swear they are attached to Bigfoot.
Would I like for someone to go there and take crystal clear pictures and show them to the world or figure a way to capture one of these majestic creatures so we could study them and learn about them and then release the Bigfoot back to its home, why of course I would, absolutely!
But no matter how hard I want, no matter how hard I hope, I just think we will end up with another story, a really good story, but just another story and Mr Mike will be interviewed and Lan Lamphere will get some press for a while then it will all fade into the darkness of the internet and be chuckled about around campfires.
Perhaps with luck some company somewhere will make a Mr Mike night vision camera with low noise and give Mr Mike a cut of the profits as he seems like a nice guy...

The Backyard Bigfoot Story Continues?
I listened tonight as "Mr Mike" was briefly spoken to by Lan Lamphere. This was a somewhat bizarre listening as it turned out that Lan and his crew at the radio station hired a PI to check out Mr Mike and the PI stated Mr Mike was ok cause he was a good citizen and had good credit and also went to church (never heard of Jimmy Swaggart?).
Mr Mike also said there were now approximately 6 more Sasquatch at his house and one was no more than 5 feet away from him. The PI also stated he hid in the bushes at Mr Mikes house at 3 AM and had something small grunt at him and also saw 5 small shadows near him.
Then Lan stated something about a NDA and asked Mr Mike if he was cool with everything and in his best 12 year old boy voice Mr Mike said "yes".
It seems the perhaps never ending saga of Mr Mike and his multiplying Bigfoot will continue next week on Monday night!! This is truly a strange story, but then again, strange is normal around here..

Bigfoot In Back Yard?
Bigfoot found? Cryptomundo and other sites around the web are reporting it might be true? At this point it is just another "story". There is a link where you can listen to the person who claims a family of a male & female and 2 juveniles (updated to six or seven)are camping in his back yard! How co-incidental that the witness is named Mike! same name as the individidual in the Autumn Williams book "Enoch".
It appears that "Mike" will be back on the show tonight, Thursday July 9th at 9 PM CT..
I listened to the entire recorded interview and I must say that "Mike" was very convincing, to the point of amazingly so. His complacency concerning not getting a camera for three weeks was baffling to me but sometimes I am baffled by Cornflakes..
